Setting Up The Transmitters
- Setting up all the items with this is very simple, everything is note-card configured! Just like our fire alarms, everything works off of networks. When you are to start using a network, all you have to do is go into the notecard of the item you want, and enter the "Intercom ID". When this is done, you can have unlimited channels.
- You can unlimited Channels under every network. (Called Labels in the Configuration Notecards)
Choosing a Transmitter
- Every transmitter is differrent. Since there are currently only 2 at the moment, you have the choice between the Phone or the Microphone. The Phone can only be configured to one channel, as the Microphone can be configured to 8 channels and allow transmission on multiple channels when buttons are clicked.
Setting It Up
- To set up the transmitter, follow these steps.
- Rez Out Your Transmitter (We'll, use the Microphone Version as an example)
- Right Click the Transmitter, then go into the contents.
- Open the notecard "_config".
- Enter a name for your network under "IntercomID"
- Enter your access level you'd like. This prevents abuse from users.
- Configure your channels onto buttons using the "ButtonLabel" fields. If you put the channel "Example" on "ButtonLabel1" and press the button "1", then when you talk in chat, any speaker configured to the Channel "Example" will receive the message from any Grid.
Setting Up The Speakers
- The speakers can be set up in any region and any grid. Want to send messages to the Beta Grid? Well this will easily do it!
- To set up the speakers, follow these steps.
- Rez out a speaker.
- Enter your network name under "IntercomID"
- Enter the speaker's channel under "LabelAssignment".
- Bam! Everything works. Feel free to position it wherever you like!
