Nexus Pager System Documentation

This documentation is to better help you with the product to help you efficiently work with the product and make use of all of it's features properly. Having trouble using a feature? Consult the documentation below.

Before we get started on using the Pager System, we would like to thank you on choosing us! If you have any questions please ask in our Second Life Group. If your questions are not answered, please file a ticket here on our Support Site.

Computer Terminal

The first steps on setting everything up is to have your terminal.
This will access all your settings for your network.
To set up your network, simply rez out the terminal and click!

Network Channels

Your network can hold a maximum of 9 channels. Because there isn't much of a need for more channels, there won't be changing it.

Getting a Channel List

Want to view what channels you have?
  1. Click the Terminal.
  2. Select 'Channels' from the dialog.
  3. Select 'List'.
Once completed, that will display all the channels in your network.

Creating Your First Channel

Now that you have your network, you need something for all the devices to be connected too.
Steps To Create a Channel
  1. Click the Terminal
  2. Select 'Channels' from the dialog.
  3. Select 'Add' from the dialog.
  4. Enter a name for the channel.
  5. Bam, your channel has been created!

Removing Channels

Once you have created a channel, you need to have a way to remove it.
Steps To Remove a Channel
  1. Click the Terminal
  2. Select 'Channels' from the dialog.
  3. Select 'Remove' from the dialog.
  4. Enter the name of the channel to remove. Case Sensitive
  5. Bam, your channel has been created!

Access Lists

The access list allows for other users to have access to transmitting messages to other devices.
These users can easily be added and removed.

Adding a User

  1. Click the Terminal
  2. Select 'Access Lists'
  3. Select 'Add'
  4. Enter their name on the dialog.
After completed, they should be added to the access list.
If it fails, you may need to retype their name.
Their USERNAME must be typed exactly like it is on their profile.

Removing a User

  1. Click the Terminal
  2. Select 'Access Lists'
  3. Select 'Remove'
  4. Enter the name of the person.
If their name is typed correctly, their name will be removed from the access list.

Getting Access List Users

  1. Click the Terminal
  2. Select 'Access Lists'
  3. Select 'List'
That will then print out everyone currently on your access list.
